I am a smaller built woman. Even so, the turtle neck had an awkward fit through the collar bone area and the shoulders (too tight). It was also snug underneath the arms which would make it uncomfortable for skiing. I had previously purchased a size medium. Hoping that it was simply a sizing issue, I ordered a large. The fit was still uncomfortable, so I returned it. (I did like the feel and look of the fabric.)
I now own three of the Cloud Nine Performance Turtle Necks. Love the neckline because it gives a lot more coverage than a crew neck for skiing warmth. It's fashionable and flattering for apres ski as well. Thumb holes are a bit tight for me, so I simply don't use them. Overall, I'm really enjoying all my Terramar products.
I love my top.. my favorite.. bought it in both white and black.. but would love a RED.. a christmas red.. darker red.. it goes with so many winter things and is much more fun than just white or black.. but the feel and design are wonderful.. thank you
I bought my first one of these turtlenecks a few months ago, and now own three. The fabric and fit make these perfect base layers! If I were quibbling, I'd get rid of the zipper pocket (I'm usually a fan of as many pockets as possible, but not in a base layer like this, and not at the waist). I'm also not a fan of thumb holes, but apparently the rest of the market is.
I own two of the scoop neck versions of this top, an extra small and a small, and both fit well. The turtleneck in Extra small was much too snug for me so I had to return
it for an exchange. I hope the small sizing will be correct!
