Quality, this is a light layer. Warmth but breathes well. Perfect for spring in the mountain and summer high elevation nights. Terramar is one of my favorites for mountain clothing
Terramar fits into a base layer niche bracketed by the likes of Patagonia, Icebreaker, and Smartwool, but with less recognition. Their layers are well made and warm for their weight. They also regulate moisture to more or less create a comfortable environment. I’d give them and extra star if they were less stingy on the merino in their light layer, and importantly if they had a contact where you could talk to a knowledgeable rep. If you’re paying for high quality specific use clothes you should be able to get a knowledgeable customer service rep on the phone to answer questions. All the other mentioned above manufactures have direct lines. Terramar didn’t even get back to me when I sent a question on their online form.
I purchased the1.0 Men’s Transport Merino Long Sleeved Crew. I found it to size correct. It is comfortable and provides just the right amount of base layer insulation. As a 69 year old guy, it truly meets all I require of it. I am totally satisfied. -Greg
Provides a flexible effective layer.
Very nice stuff. I probably should have bought the 2.0 for where I live and the cold we're having right now. I have some 3.0 pieces as well. Very warm. You really should wait a while before asking for reviews. you know like enough time to wear something more than once or twice.
