Stated to be "heavy weight thermal fleece" they are in fact light weight. And they are in the 4.0 category meaning they are supposed to be the heaviest. They might be useful if you are engaging in vigorous activity only because they are so thin. but for warmth they are useless.
I purchased these for my son-in-law. He spends a lot of time in the Montana outdoors. He said they are great.

I wore this while cutting wood on a bitter cold afternoon in Northern Michigan... I was almost overdressed. This product is the best bar none. Remember machine wash cold and best to hang dry, love it and it will love you back.
